Great question! When it comes to planners, I actually think it depends so much on the kid. When I was a teacher, I preferred a planner that showed me all five weekdays across two pages; other options listed them down the side. Some kids like to make lists so a great notepad could work for that. Honestly, browsing the aisles of planners at the store and having kids flip through them to see what they would like to use is a good starting point. If they don't like it, or someone else makes them use it (like a required one from a school), it won't be as much for or as likely to be used! The key is to find one that they WANT to use.
